Welcome third graders!

Dear Third Graders,

I hope you are having a fun-filled summer vacation. I’m having a great summer with my 3 year old son, Landon and his 1 year old sister, Finley. This summer, we went to visit family on the beach in South Carolina and went strolling on the busy streets of New York City. Landon learned how to ride a bike (with training wheels) this summer and Finley learned how to walk! What exciting things have you been doing over the summer? Did you go on any trips? Leave a comment and share your summer adventures, I'd love to hear about them.

While you're here visiting our classroom blog, please take some time to explore. You will be able to learn some information about our class, when we will have our specials, and get the class supply list. Feel free to bring your school supplies to our Family Drop-In Day.

I am really excited to meet you. I hope you are able to pop in and say hi on the Family Drop-In Day on August 31st from 9:30-10:30. Have fun during your last few weeks of summer. See you soon!

Cheerfully,
Mrs. Colfer

  1. Julian wants you to know that he went camping at Sebago Lake State Park. Also, his Uncle Pierre came to spend a week with us. He got to see his Uncle Jeremy and his family and went to the arcade with his cousin. In a couple of weeks he will be going to Storyland with his family and grandparents.

    1. Hi Julian, Thank you for your comment and telling me about your summer. It sounds like you're having a blast camping and visiting with family! I love that summer gives us the time to enjoy our family that we may not see too often. Have a great time at Storyland and I can't wait to meet you in a couple of weeks. --Mrs. Colfer

    1. Hi Leigh! I love baseball. I played softball when I was younger and I really enjoy watching the Red Sox. When I lived in Boston, I went to watch them play a couple of times at Fenway Park. Do you have a favorite baseball team? I can't wait to meet you in a few weeks. Enjoy the rest of the summer! --Mrs. Colfer

    1. Hi Emma,
Camping with grandma sounds like a blast! I loved spending time with my grandmother as a little girl too. She lived on the beach and we would walk the beach looking for seashells and sand dollars. I can't wait to meet you and hear more about your camping trip! --Mrs. Colfer

    1. Bella,
I love camping too. My favorite part of camping is making smores. Yummy! I'm glad you had a splashalicious time at Aquaboggin and I like your word choice to describe your adventure! I'm looking forward to our year together!
